Maruti Suzuki Auto Sales October 2025
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd remained the market leader in October 2025, reporting sales of 2,20,894 units, up from 2,06,434 units in October 2024 — a 7% YoY growth. Despite challenges in the entry-level and utility vehicle segments, models like Baleno and Swift continued to anchor the compact car category. Strong festive buying — particularly during Navratri and Dussehra — helped Maruti Suzuki sustain momentum as it heads into the year-end period.
Mahindra & Mahindra Auto Sales October 2025
Mahindra & Mahindra was one of the biggest gainers in October 2025, with 1,20,142 units sold compared to 96,648 units in the same month last year, logging a 24.3% YoY growth. This helped Mahindra to overhaul Tata Motors and secure the second spot. The company’s SUV-centric lineup, dominated by the Scorpio-N, XUV700, and Thar, continued to drive retail demand, which jumped 60% during the festive season. Strong order books and an improved production schedule helped Mahindra record its best-ever festive month, as it continues to rise in the country's SUV market.
Tata Motors Auto Sales October 2025
Tata Motors recorded sales of 61,295 units in October 2025, against 48,423 units in October 2024, posting growth of 26.6% YoY. This month, Tata got into third place but continued to see good growth overall. The reason is the decent demand for the Nexon and Punch. Meanwhile, the company's EV portfolio continues to shine, solidifying Tata's standing in India's turn toward EVs. Continued festive momentum and an expanding EV range have positioned Tata Motors for a strong finish to the fiscal year.
Hyundai Auto Sales October 2025
Hyundai Motor India sold 69,894 units in October 2025, up from 62,968 units a year earlier, showing a steady 11% YoY growth. SUVs once again drove the brand’s performance. The Creta is on an all-time high, and the Venue also registered its best numbers in nearly two years. However, the brand’s smaller hatchback segment remained under pressure, slightly limiting overall growth. Despite this, Hyundai’s steady SUV performance ensured it retained its fourth position in the competitive PV market.
Conclusion
October 2025 marked another festive high for India’s auto market. Maruti Suzuki continued its top position, while Mahindra’s SUV took the company into the second position, overtaking Tata Motors. Tata maintained strong momentum with healthy EV sales, and Hyundai delivered solid double-digit growth despite its hatchback headwinds. With the festive push and GST 2.0 tailwinds in full swing, India’s auto landscape is clearly evolving — and Mahindra’s rise to the No. 2 spot signals a new phase of competition in the PV segment.
