DVM stock PVR Limited hits year high

 Entertainment company PVR Limited, which has been in Trendlyne's top DVM Select Screener for the last month, hit a fresh year high today. Entertainment companies in India have been gaining as growth has been driven by an uptick in blockbusters and good footfall in theatres in FY19. Management noted that the company was on track to meet its 15% growth guidance for the financial year, as investors await results. One risk factor continues to be how various state governments will rule regarding the entry of outside food in theatres. Sales of F&B; in theatres has accounted for upto 30% of revenues and gross margins for entertainment theatre companies, particularly the large players PVR and Inox.

 Dear Sir, We are pleased to inform you the opening of 4 screens multiplex at The Celebration Bazaar, Khanna in Punjab and 5 screens multiplex at City Centre Mall, Guwahati in Assam on 31st March, 2019. These multiplexes are equipped with BARCO 2K projection system, next-generation 3D-enabled screens and 7.1 Digital Dolby surround sound in all auditoriums. Further, please also be informed that from 1st April 2019, PVR Cinemas has closed the operations of two of its properties i.e. Red Carpet in Ahmedabad (4-screens) and Casino Cinemas in Chennai (1-screen).
