JLR opens bookings for Discovery Metropolitan Edition

 Jaguar Land Rover India (JLR) has opened bookings for the all-new Discovery Metropolitan Edition with prices starting from Rs 1.26 crore (ex-showroom), the company said on Monday. The latest seven-seater SUV comes with many upgrades and enhanced new age features, JLR said in a statement. Available with the P360 Ingenium petrol engine and the D300 Ingenium diesel engine, the new top-of-the-range Metropolitan Edition comes with standard specifications such as a 31.24 cm (12.3) interactive driver display, wireless charging with phone signal booster, four-zone climate control and heated steering wheel among others, the company said. Land Rover Discovery is perhaps the most versatile seven-seater SUV in the Indian market. The Metropolitan edition ups the value proposition for our customers with many upgrades, enhanced new age features & options as standard inclusions, said Rohit Suri, president and managing director of Jaguar Land Rover India.

 We invite your kind attention to the series of correspondences in connection with the captioned Scheme and the In-principle approval granted by BSE vide letter dated October 11, 2018 and NSE vide letter dated November 29, 2018. In this context we wish to inform you that the Allotment Committee of the Company has, today, approved allotment of 193,236 Ordinary Shares of the face value of Rs.2 each under the Scheme to the eligible employees pursuant to exercise of stock options at an exercise price of Rs.345 per share. Consequent to the aforesaid allotment, the paid-up Ordinary share capital of the Company stands increased from Rs.6,64,18,01,519 divided into 3,32,06,62,007 Ordinary Shares of Rs.2 each to Rs.6,64,21,87,991 divided into 3,32,08,55,243 Ordinary Shares of Rs.2 each(considering the amount of subscribed share capital plus shares forfeited less calls in arrears). The aforesaid Ordinary Shares shall rank pari passu in all aspects with the existing Ordinary Shares of the Company.
