Should you subscribe to the BSE IPO?

The Bombay Stock Exchange's Initial Public Offering (IPO) to raise upto Rs. 1,243 crore, has been fully subscribed as of the afternoon today. This is the second day of the offer - the IPO closes tomorrow, and has already received bids for 1.088 crore shares, against an issue size of 1.079 crore shares. The BSE is looking to raise up to Rs 1,243 crore from the offering priced at Rs 805-806 per share. Should you subscribe? Analysts have leaned positive on this IPO. While the exchange's revenue growth has slowed in FY16, the offering is inexpensively priced compared to India's other listed exchange, MCX, which trades at a 40+ P/E currently compared to the BSE IPO P/E of 20.7, on estimated FY17 earnings.
