Fortis Healthcare share price falls after board delays results yet again, citing investigation
Fortis Healthcare today informed exchanges that its board has again deferred the approval of quarterly and annual financial results for the March quarter and FY, saying more time is needed to "consider the aspects of f an internal investigation on alleged financial irregularities". The fresh date for the approval of accounts is June 25, the company said. This is the second postponement. On May 30, Fortis had postponed the board meeting scheduled to consider financial results to June 11, citing the same reason - considering the results of the internal investigation. The internal investigation is being conducted by Luthra & Luthra Law Offices, and their report was available on June 8. “The report was duly placed before the Audit and Risk Management Committee and the Board at their meetings held today,” the company said. The report has been shared with the statutory auditors and is, according to the company, being submitted to SEBI and SFIO. Fortis has not shared the findings with the public.12-06-2018
