In a sombre announcement, the Sahara Group revealed the demise of Subrata Roy, founder of the conglomerate, at the age of 75. He was admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute on Sunday as his health took a severe downturn. The prominent businessman succumbed to a cardiorespiratory arrest on November 14, 2023, at the hospital at 10:30 pm on Tuesday, after a prolonged struggle with complications arising from metastatic malignancy, hypertension, and diabetes, as reported in the official statement.

Last Rites to Take Place in Lucknow

According to reports, the mortal remains of Subrata Roy will be transported to Sahara City in Lucknow on November 15, where the last rites will be performed. The details regarding the final ceremonies will be communicated in due course.
