Tata Motors
Tata Motors sold 48,075 cars in January 2025. Tata Motors saw a 10.4% decline compared to January 2024's 53,635 units but achieved an 8.7% growth from December 2024's 44,221 units. Tata's market share moved from 13.6% to 12.0%, showing a 1.7% change.
Mahindra & Mahindra
Mahindra showed strong performance with 50,659 units sold in January 2025. The SUV maker posted 17.6% growth from last January's 43,068 units and 22.3% increase from December 2024 41,424 units. The company's market share increased significantly from 10.9% to 12.6%, captured a gain of 1.7%.
Maruti Suzuki
Maruti Suzuki made a sale of 1,73,599 units in auto sales in January 2025, showing 4.1% growth from last year's 1,66,802 units. Maruti Suzuki achieved a substantial 33.4% monthly growth from December 2024, 1,30,115 units. Their market share improved from 42.4% to 43.2%.
Hyundai
Hyundai sold 54,003 units in automotive sales in January 2025, showcasing a 5.4% decrease from last year's 57,115 units. However, monthly sales grew by 27.9% from December 2024, which was 42,208 units. Hyundai's market share dropped from 14.5% to 13.4%.
Toyota
Toyota sold 26,178 units sales in January 2025, marked a 12.9% growth from last January's 23,197 units. Monthly sales improved by 5.2% from December 2024 was 24,887 units. The company's market share increased from 5.9% to 6.5%, captured 0.6% more market share.
Other Manufacturers
Skoda leads in YoY growth with a 73.9% surge, selling 4,133 units in January 2025, up from 2,377 units a year ago. However, month-on-month sales dropped by 9.2%, whereas its market share rose by 0.4%.
Renault sold 2,780 units, followed by Nissan (2,404), Citroën (470), and Jeep (310). All saw a YoY decline, but Nissan and Jeep grew Month on Month by 13.5% and 8.4%, while Renault and Citroën declined.
