Drive to Recovery?: Bajaj Auto sees fall in profits, but beats analyst estimates
The auto sector is expected to see muted results for Q2, and Bajaj Auto reported a 1% YoY drop in its standalone net profits for Q2, recording Rs 1,112 crore in net profits for the September quarter. The two-wheeler maker had reported a net profit of Rs 1,123 crore in the same quarter last year. The company however beat analyst estimates, which were expecting a drop in net profit approximating to 4%. The company noted that the firm recorded its highest monthly sale of 4,28,752 units in September, a 14% growth in that month. Sales have been "improving progressively" in the months since GST rollout and demonetization, the company said. The company's share price has hit a year high after results.17-10-2017
