 We refer to our letter cited above, this is to inform the exchanges that Bank has published the Invitation to Bid No: FM&S; Wing/Sub/RFP/05/2019 ('Invitation to Bid') seeking expression of interest of bidders/investors through duly appointed Merchant Bankers to purchase 3,99,30,365 equity shares of the face value of Rs. 2/- each (Rupees Two each Only) constituting 29.99% (Twenty Nine and Ninety Nine Percent) of the Paid-up Capital ('Sale Shares') held by the bank in CFHL. The detailed Invitation to Bid is uploaded on the Bank Website http://www.canarabank.com/English/scripts/tenders.aspx. and NIC website: http://tenders.gov.in, today viz. 06.09.2019 and will be published in newspapers on 07.09.2019. This is in compliance of Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015 and for appropriate dissemination.

Canara Bank - 532483 - Canara Bank - Information Under Regulation 30 Of SEBI (LODR), Regulations,2015

 The Bank has received a communication from Ministry of Finance, Government of India that the Alternative Mechanism (AM) after consultation with Reserve Bank of India (RBI), has decided that Canara Bank and Syndicate Bank may consider amalgamation of the Syndicate Bank into Canara Bank. Accordingly, a meeting of Board of Directors to consider the amalgamation will be convened by the Bank shortly.
