NEW DELHI: The looming threat of Brexit or the British Referendum, which is still a possibility, has been haunting markets across the globe, including India. However, experts firmly believe that India is in a sweet spot and after a knee-jerk reaction to Brexit, should it materialise, the market will against begin its uptrend. The mother of all bull markets is still ahead of us, experts said. Going by opinion polls, the possibility of Brexit has reduced considerably, but the risk still remains. Three opinion polls ahead of Thursday's vote showed the 'Remain' camp is recovering momentum, although the overall picture remains one of an evenly split electorate, media reports said. "The Brexit vote is important. Over the weekend, the likelihood of a Brexit has come down. Still, if it happens, it may not be very damaging in the short term. But my fear is that it will lead to a breakup of the European Union, which I think will be really unsettling for the markets," Rakesh Jhunjhunwala of Rare Enterprises told ET Now on Monday. "It is a known risk, it is a real risk. But now the odds are only 30 per cent, so that risk is mitigated to that extent. But the only thing I know is that the mother of all bull markets still lies ahead of us. Only that we do not know when," he said.
