L&T; Construction gets Rs 13.87-billion contract in Andhra Pradesh

 Engineering major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today said its construction arm has bagged an order worth Rs 1,387 crore for construction of a bridge across the Krishna river in Andhra Pradesh. "The construction arm of L&T will construct a ...bridge across the river Krishna at Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. The bridge will connect Pavitrasangamam in Vijayawada and N10 road in Amaravati," the company said in a BSE filing. The Rs 1,387 crore project has been awarded by the Amaravati Development Corporation Ltd (ADCL). L&T has also been entrusted with the operation and maintenance of the bridge for five years, it added. Shares of the company were trading at Rs 1,356.95 apiece, up 1.07 per cent from the previous close on the BSE.

L&T; Construction secures two major orders worth Rs 57.04 billion

 Larsen & Toubro's construction arm has won orders worth Rs 5,704 crore in domestic market. "The water and effluent treatment business of L&T Construction has secured orders worth Rs 5,704 crore," the engineering and construction major said in a BSE filing. L&T said it has won two major orders from the Narmada Valley Development Authority (NVDA), government of Madhya Pradesh, for execution of Indira Sagar Project- Parwati phases I and II and Kalisindh phase I Micro Lift Irrigation Schemes. The company has also received an EPC order from the Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam Maryadit for execution of Buxwaha Multi Village Rural Water Supply Scheme. L&T shares were trading at Rs 1,358.25 apiece, up 1.08 per cent, from the previous close on the BSE.

L&T; Construction- Marubeni JV bags Rs 31.9 bn order for Dhaka Metro

 Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today said L&T Construction has bagged a Rs 3,191 crore order from Dhaka Mass Transit Company for construction of a railway line for Dhaka Metro. L&T said it has secured the order in JV with Marubeni Corporation (Japan) through an international competitive bidding process. "The railways strategic business group of L&T Construction's transportation infrastructure business has won a major design and build order from the Dhaka Mass Transit Company (DMTC) worth Rs 3,191 crore for electrical and mechanical systems package of Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (MRT - line 6)," the firm said in a BSE filing. Line 6 is the first route of the Mass Rapid Transit system in Bangladesh. The project is funded by the Japan International Corporation agency (JICA) through bilateral aid from Japan to Bangladesh. Shares of the company were trading at Rs 1,339.90 apiece, up 0.09 per cent, on BSE.
