 Further to our intimation No. 02020B/CMRL/2023/110 dated September 18, 2023, regarding the receipt of Assessment Orders giving effect to the Order of Interim Board of Settlement - II u/s 245D(4) OF THE Income Tax Act, 1961 for the Assessment Years 2013-14 and 2014-15, Orders for the Assessment Years 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19 & 2019-20 have been received from Asst. Commissioner of Income Tax, Central Circle - 2, Ernakulam. As per the Orders, tax refund for the assessment years 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19 is Rs.57,406/-, Rs.62,178/-, Rs.49,95,918/- and Rs.1,28,13,460/- respectively. Tax liability for the assessment year 2019-20 is Rs.3,34,57,653/- and notice of demand for the same u/s 156 of the Income Tax Act, 1961 has been received. After adjusting the refund for the previous years, net tax liability for the Assessment Year 2019-20 amounts to Rs.1,55,28,691/- Penalty and prosecution proceedings are not initiated in the aforesaid Orders.

 In furtherance to our intimation Mo.02020B/CMRL/2023/077 dated August 10, 2023, wherein company has informed the receipt of Order u/s 245D(4) from the Interim Board of Settlement and that final Order regarding tax liability, if any, is yet to be received from the Income tax Dept., Assessment Orders giving effect to the Order of Interim Board of Settlement-II u/s 245D(4) of the Income Tax act 1961 for the Assessment Years 2013-14 & 2014-15 have been received from Asst. Commissioner of Income Tax, Central Circle-2, Ernakulam. As per the Orders, tax liability for the assessment years 2013-14 and 2014-15 is Rs.1,73,89,450/- and Rs.5,91,21,100/- respectively and notices of demand for the same u/s 156 of the Income Tax act, 1961 have been received. As the Hon''ble Interim Board of Settlement-II vide order u/s 245D(4) has granted immunity from penalty and prosecution under the Income Tax Act, penalty and prosecution proceedings are not initiated in the aforesaid Orders.
