The National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) has scheduled a unique live trading session for January 20, 2024, incorporating an intra-day switch to its Disaster Recovery (DR) site. This move aligns with the SEBI circular SEBI/HO/MRD/DMS1/CIR/P/2019/43 dated March 26, 2019, concerning the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Site (DRS) for stock exchanges and depositories.

Price Bands and Operational Range for the Session
For this special session, securities will have a maximum price band of 5%. Securities already in the 2% or lower price band will continue in their respective bands. Futures contracts will have a daily operating range of 5%. No changes in securities or futures contracts flexing will apply on this day.
Preparing for the Session: Member Instructions
NSE urges members to prepare for this transition as per guidelines provided in circular NSE/MSD/48662 dated June 18, 2021. This includes ensuring systems are consistent and ready for the switch to the DR site.
Technical Connectivity and Trading
- No changes in NEAT Adapter settings are needed for connecting to the Primary/DR site.
- All outstanding orders will be purged before trading starts from the DR site.
- Members using NNF software should clear session 1 orders before the DR site trading.
Co-location and Multicast Tick by Tick (MTBT) Feed
- Co-location facility and MTBT feed will be available, with orders from colocation routed from the Primary site to the DR site.
