Reliance FY25 Q1 Results: Net Profit at Rs 15,138 crore, drop by 5.4% YoY

Reliance Industries released the first quarter earnings of financial year 2025 on Friday, July 19, 2024. RIL reported a net profit of Rs 15,138 crore which is down by 5.4% on year-on-year basis. 

The company's revenue from operations is at Rs 2.36 lakh crore which is a rise of 11% on YoY basis. The EBITDA increased by over 2% year-on-year to Rs 42,748 crore. The maximum contribution in the Reliance business comes from Oil & Gas and consumer business which offset weak O2C Business.

Reliance Jio Infocomm

Reliance Jio Infocomm posted a net profit of Rs 5,445 crore for the first quarter of FY25, up 12% from Rs 4,863 crore reported in the year-ago period.

The telecom giant Reliance Jio reported revenue from operations at Rs 26,478 crore, up by 10% from Rs 24,042 crore reported by the company in the same period of the previous financial year.

The average revenue per user remained flat at Rs 181.7 with a better subscriber mix, partially offset by an increasing mix of promotional 5G traffic being offered on an unlimited basis to subscribers and not charged separately. On a year-on-year basis, ARPU was up 0.7%.

Reliance Retail 

Reliance Retail business posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 2,549 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2024, up by 4.6% over Rs 2,436 crore reported by the company in the year-ago period. 

The revenue from operations for the April-June quarter stood at Rs 66,260 crore which was up by 6.6% over 62,159 crore reported by the company in the same quarter of the previous financial year.

The gross revenue for the reported quarter stood Rs 75,615 crore which was up by 8.1% over Rs 69,948 reported in the same quarter of the last financial year.

Consumer Electronics

JioMart's digital business growth was driven across categories, and the business expanded its merchant base by 14% YoY. Own brand / PBG introduced several new products across categories even as it continued to grow its merchant base, which was up over 100% YoY.

Fashion & Lifestyle

AJIO delivered steady performance as it expanded its product catalogue by over 20% compared to last year and added over 1.9 million customers. AJIO successfully executed its flagship.
