Union Budget 2025 is finally released. FM Nirmala Sitharaman has made big announcements and provided big relief to the middle class. In Budget 2025, FM announced that there will be Nil Income Tax upto Income of Rs 12 Lakh. The standard deduction also increased to Rs 75,000. This zero income tax on upto 12 Lakh is applied when you don’t have any additional capital gain tax.
If your total Income is up to Rs 12,00,000, you won’t have to pay any income tax. However, if part of this Income comes from capital gains, that portion will not be exempt from tax and will be taxed separately.
