HDFC Bank NEFT Unavailable, SBI Net Banking, UPI Down on April 1st

HDFC Bank informed its customers that they may use other transaction methods, such as IMPS, RTGS, and UPI, to transfer money on April 1, 2024.

India’s largest private sector lender HDFC Bank had informed its customers by Email, that Bank’s NEFT transaction may not be available on April 1, 2024. Bank stated that NEFT is unavailable due to procedures regarding the financial year ending. 

However, if NEFT works for its customers, money transfer time may be delayed. Further, if you receive salary or any other payments on April 1, 2024, they may also be delayed.

HDFC Bank informed its customers that they may use other transaction methods, such as IMPS, RTGS, and UPI, to transfer money on April 1, 2024.

In an email HDFC Bank wrote, Please note, outward NEFT transactions may get delayed/ may not be available on April 1 2024 due to financial year-end procedures. We request you to please complete your transaction using IMPS, RTGS, or UPI during this period. We regret any inconvenience this may cause."

SBI Net Banking and UPI Down

India’s largest public sector bank, SBI, said that its Internet Banking, Yono Lite, Yono Business Web and Mobile App, UPI, are unavailable due to the financial year closing. 

SBI mentioned in website, “Due to Annual Closing activity, the services of Internet Banking, Yono Lite, Yono Business Web & Mobile App, YONO and UPI will not be available tentatively between 16:10 Hrs IST and 19:10 Hrs IST on April 1 2024. During this period, services of UPI Lite and ATM will be available.

However, during this period UPI Lite services and ATMs will be available.
