Maruti Suzuki India released vehicle sales data for May 2024. The company dispatched 1,74,551 units in May, compared to 1,78,083 units in the same period last year. The company witnessed a 2% drop in sales on a year-on-year basis.
Maruti Suzuki's total domestic PV sales increased marginally to 1,44,002 units against 1,43,708 units in the same period last year.
Utility vehicles were sold 54,204 units compared to 46,243 units earlier. The company's exports declined to 17,367 units from 26,477 units in the same period last year.

Tata Motors
Tata Motors' sales in the international and domestic market stood at 76,766 units, compared to 76,973 units in the same period last year. The total consumer vehicle sales are 29,691 units, up by 2% on a year-on-year basis, and passenger vehicle sales are 47,075 units, also up by 2% on a year-on-year basis.
Mahindra & Mahindra
Mahindra & Mahindra's overall auto sales for May stood at 71,682 units, registering a growth of 17%, including exports. In the Utility vehicles segment, Mahindra & Mahindra sold 43,218 vehicles in the domestic market, a growth of 31% compared to 32,883 units sold in May 2023. The domestic sales for CV stood at Rs 19,826.
Toyota Motors
Toyota sold 25,273 units in May 2024. The domestic sales stood at 23,959 units, while the exports were 1,314 units. Earlier in May 2023, Toyota had dispatched 20,410 units to its dealers.
Hyundai Motor India
Hyundai Motor India sold 63,551 units in May, reporting a 7% rise on a year-on-year basis. Earlier in May 2023, Hyundai sold 59,601 units. The domestic dispatch of cars to dealers saw a 1% rise of 49,151 units compared to 48,601 units in the same period last year.
Exports rose by 31% in May to 14,400 units, compared to Rs 11,000 units in the year-ago period.
