Nandan Denim Limited has informed the exchange that a fire broke out in Shirting section of Weaving Division of our factory located at Piplej, Ahmedabad in the late hours of Saturday evening. The fire was brought under control on Sunday after best efforts from employees, Company's fire tenders and safety officers, Fire Brigade officials, etc . Seven people have been reported to be dead. FIR has been lodged against six officials including 2 Promoters and Whole Time Director. A detailed investigation is under process and three officials including Whole Time Director have been arrested. The production facility at Piplej location has been shut down and shall be resumed after suggested measures are complied and inspected. We have intimated the concerned departments and other statutory authorities about the fire incident.10-02-2020
