Maruti Suzuki reports strong sales for smart hybrids
Maruti Suzuki has crossed the 100,000 mark in cumulative sales for its Smart Hybrid Ciaz and Ertiga cars. The company - which focused on hybrid models for increased fuel efficiencies - said that both models have emerged as leaders in their respective segments, since their introduction in late 2015. Maruti has been aggressively looking at hybrid technologies to build market share, since these vehicles tend to offer superior mileage in a market where customers have been highly conscious of fuel costs.
