Birla Corporation Ltd - 500335 - Disclosure Under Regulation 30 Read With Schedule III Of The SEBI (Listing Obligations And Disclosure Requirements), Regulations, 2015

 Pursuant to Regulation 30 read with Schedule III of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements), Regulations, 2015 (Listing Regulations), we wish to inform you that there was an incident of fire in Company's Unit at New Chanderia Cement Works, Chanderia (NCCW) on Sunday, the 29th day of September, 2019 in the evening. Few workers including some contractual workers suffered varying degress of burn and they are being treated in various hospitals. There was no loss or damage to plant & machinery due to fire. As a measure of abundant caution, the Company has suspended operation at one of its Kilns at NCCW. This temporary disruption may not have any material impact on the operations of the Company.

 This has reference to our earlier communication dated 10th August, 2019 vide which we had informed the Exchanges regarding the order dated 9th August, 2019 passed by the Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta, inter alia, restraining publication of the results of the election and/or voting with respect to the business mentioned in the Notice dated 1st July, 2019 relating to the Annual General Meeting of the Company held on 13th August, 2019, until expiry of six weeks from date of the Interim Order dated 2nd August, 2019 or without leave of the Honble Court, whichever is earlier. The Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta now vide its order dated 13th September, 2019 while adjourning the hearing of the matter has extended the Interim Order dated 2nd August, 2019 till 20th September, 2019. The Company is however not a party to the said litigation. Further material development, if any, in the matter will be intimated to the Exchanges.
