BIRLA CORPORATION LTD. - 500335 - Announcement under Regulation 30 (LODR)-Strikes /Lockouts / Disturbances

 Pursuant to Regulation 30 read with Schedule III of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, this is to inform you that in order to comply with the direction of the Rajasthan Government and West Bengal Government and to provide health and safety to employees and workers of the Company against the risk of Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Cement manufacturing units including the power plants of the Company located at Chanderia has been temporarily shut down w.e.f. 22nd March, 2020 till 31st March,2020 and Cement manufacturing units located at Durgapur will be temporarily shut down w.e.f. 23rd March,2020 (from 4.00 p.m.) till 27th March,2020. All operations at these locations will remain suspended during this period. Also, due to lockdown in Rajasthan, West Bengal, Delhi, Maharashtra, Punjab and various districts in Uttar Pradesh, sales of the Company are expected to be affected. The expected financial impact of the above is not ascertainable at this stage.
