What is the T+0 Settlement?

In T+0, T refers to the trade of the day, and 0 is the days it takes to settle your trade. This means the trade taken on delivery will be settled on the same day after market closing. In simple words, shares will be transferred into the buyer’s account and money will be deposited into the seller’s account. Before 28 March 2024, Indian markets followed T+1 settlement.
