 In line with the Ministry of Power (MoP), Govt. of India order no. 9/1/2022-NHPC dated 13.12.2022, the Board of Directors through resolution by circulation passed on 14.12.2022 has appointed Shri Rajeev Kumar Vishnoi (DIN: 08534217) as CMD of NHPC Limited w.e.f. 13.12.2022 i.e. the date of assumption of charge of the post of CMD, NHPC. A brief profile of Shri Vishnoi is enclosed herewith. Shri Vishnoi is not related to any of the Directors of the Company and is not debarred from holding the office of Director by virtue of any order of Securities and Exchange Board of India or any other such authority. It is also to inform that consequent to the above Shri Yamuna Kumar Chaubey (DIN:08492346), Director (Technical), NHPC ceases to hold the additional charge of the post of CMD, NHPC Limited.

NHPC appoints Mohammand Afzal as govt nominee director on its board

 State-owned hydro power giant NHPC on Wednesday said its board has appointed Mohammad Afzal as government nominee director from December 6, 2022. "Board of Directors through resolution by circulation passed on December 6, 2022, has appointed Mohammad Afzal as Government Nominee Director on Board of the Company from December 6, 2022," a BSE filing said. The company also informed that Afzal is not related to any of the directors of the company and not debarred from holding the office of director by virtue of any order of the Securities and Exchange Board of India or any other such authority. Afzal is presently working as Joint Secretary (Transmission) in the Ministry of Power.

 In compliance to Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, it is to inform that Ministry of Power (MoP) vide its order no. 9/7/2021-NHPC dated 05.12.2022 has intimated withdrawal of nomination of Shri Raghuraj Madhav Rajendran (DIN: 07772370) as Government Nominee Director on the Board of NHPC Limited w.e.f. 05.12.2022 and has nominated Shri Mohammad Afzal (DIN: 09762315) in his place until further orders. The process for appointment of Shri Afzal on the Board is underway. Further, in continuation to our letter dated 01.09.2022, it is to inform that Ministry of Power vide its letter dated 05.12.2022 has conveyed the decision of the Competent Authority to entrust the additional charge of the post of CMD, NHPC to Shri Yamuna Kumar Chaubey (DIN:08492346), Director (Technical), NHPC for a period of 03 (Three) months w.e.f. 01.12.2022 or till a regular incumbent joins the post, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
