Q3FY23 Quarterly Result Announced for Sapphire Foods India Ltd.
Restaurant firm Sapphire Foods India announced Q3FY23 results: Q3FY23: Despite softening of demand post-Diwali, Q3FY23 Consol revenue (Rs 5,939 million) grew by 17%, wherein India revenue delivered robust growth of 24%. Consol Restaurant EBITDA grew YoY by 5% at 18.1% (down 210 bps) primarily due to the adverse Sri Lanka impact. India Restaurant EBITDA grew YoY by 19% (down 90 bps). Consol EBITDA (Rs 1167 million, 19.6%) grew YoY by 8% (down 190 bps) | Consol Adj. EBITDA (Rs 738 million, 12.4%) was flat YoY (down 220 bps). Consol PAT (Rs 327 million, 5.5%) declined YoY by 23% ( down 290 bps). KFC overall revenue grew YoY by 26% with SSSG of 3%. Despite the headwinds, KFC delivered healthy Restaurant EBITDA of 20.2% (down 100 bps YoY), on account of cost efficiencies and gross margin recovery (down 90 bps over sequential quarter). Pizza Hut overall revenue grew by 20% and SSSG declined by 4%. Due to negative leverage and continued inflationary pressures (gross margin is down 30 bps over sequential quarter), restaurant EBITDA was at 14.1% (down 80 bps YoY). While operating conditions in Sri Lanka have stabilised, consumer wallets have been impacted by high inflation and taxes. While same-store transactions declined, overall Revenue grew by 39% in LKR terms (down 15% in INR terms) with SSSG of 18% in LKR terms. Restaurant EBITDA margins were at 14.6% (down 930 bps YoY).
