Industrial Products company Kennametal India announced Q4FY24 results: Sales: Rs 2,688 million, reflecting a 5.1% increase compared to Rs 2,557 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. Profit Before Tax (PBT): Rs 517 million, marking a substantial 135% increase compared to Rs 220 million in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. The sales growth is primarily attributed to expansion in the domestic market, driven by both the Hard Metals and Machine Tools segments. The rise in PBT is mainly due to factors such as revenue growth, increased production volumes, and the impact of an exceptional item. KIL announced an Interim dividend of Rs 30/- per share for FY24 as against Rs 20/- per share for FY23. Commenting on the results, Vijaykrishnan Venkatesan, Managing Director, KIL said, “Our performance this quarter reflects the continued momentum in the domestic market. This quarter’s profit before tax is a result of strong domestic market demand and higher volumes and cost control initiatives.
