Further to our intimation letter Ref.No.TMB.SE.45/2023-24 dt.27.06.2023, informing about the spot verification by the Income Tax authorities under section 285BA of Income Tax Act, 1961, on the Specified Financial Transactions (SFT) reports filed by the Bank at periodical intervals, we wish to inform you that during the verification, it was observed that few SFT returns were not filed and certain errors/deficiencies were observed in few of the filed SFT returns. The returns which were to be submitted have since been submitted and the errors/deficiencies observed are also being attended to and rectified. We wish to further clarify that this has no implication on the financial statements filed by the Bank with the Income Tax Authority and other Statutory Authorities. Thus no financial implication on the bank is envisaged. As a law abiding organization, we are providing all the details that are required by the Income Tax Department. Business operations of the Bank are continuing as usual.
