With reference to our earlier intimation, Ref.No.TMB.SE.101/2023-24, dt.28.09.2023, we wish to present this corrigendum, due to inadvertent grammatical error in the referred intimation. We refer to our earlier intimation, Ref.No.TMB.SE.101/2023-24, dt.28.09.2023, wherein it was informed that the Board of Directors of the Bank had accepted the resignation of Shri.S.Krishnan (DIN: 07261965) from the position of Managing Director and CEO of the Bank and forwarded the same to the Reserve Bank of India and sought their guidance / advice. Reserve Bank of India, vide its letter dt.05.10.2023 has advised the Bank to initiate the process to identify a regular MD&CEO immediately and submit an application to Reserve Bank of India for approval and in the interregnum, Shri.S.Krishnan shall continue as the MD&CEO of the Bank, till his successor assumes office. RBI has also directed the Bank to furnish a timeline for submission of application to RBI by October 31, 2023. Furtherance to our above clarification, we wish to clarify that there was no issue with the NACH system managed by NPCI. The issue happened due to a technical glitch in our internal systems leading to the error in processing the credit to the customer. The mistake was noticed and corrective action was taken immediately. Additional controls are already implemented in our internal systems to avoid recurrence of such mistakes in future.
