In continuation to our earlier communication dated 23rd March, 2020, we wish to inform you that the Company's manufacturing units located in West Bengal, Assam and certain project sites across the country have partially resumed operations after receiving necessary approvals from concerned authorities. For the remaining offices/project sites, the Company has either sought or is in the process of seeking permissions/approvals from relevant authorities. The Company has taken necessary measures to comply with the guidelines relating to safety, health, hygiene, reduced manpower, social distancing and other precautionary measures as instructed by the concerned authorities. We would like to inform that these are temporary measures and the position will remain under constant watch considering the evolving situation and government directives. This is to inform you that in view of the directions/advisories passed by the West Bengal and Assam Governments to prevent & contain the spread of COVID-19 and to ensure the safety and well being of employees and all stakeholders, the Kolkata Offices and West Bengal plants of the Company will remain non-operational starting from 23rd March, 2020 (from 1pm) till 27th March, 2020 and the Guwahati plants will remain non-operational starting from 24th March, 2020 (from 6 am) till 31st March, 2020. The duration/extension of this closure will depend upon Government policy and the Company will comply with the same. Operations and sales of the Company are expected to be affected and the expected financial impact of the above is not ascertainable at this stage. This is for your information and records. This is to inform you that the Company has commissioned a Transmission line testing station on 23rd March, 2020 at 10.30 am at Village and P.O-Barunda, PS- Bagnan, District-Howrah, West Bengal. The facility has an annual testing capacity of 1800 MT of Transmission & Distribution Towers & Poles. The testing station also has an In House Research & Development Center which has been approved and recognized by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India. The facility will help the Company to conduct in-house Load Testing for Tower & Pole structures and will boost our engineering capabilities.
