Goa Carbon Limited has informed BSE that the operations at the Company's Bilaspur Plant located at 34-40, Sector B, Sirgitti Industrial Area, Bilaspur (Chattisgarh) has been temporarily shut down for maintenance work from Friday, May 5, 2017. There would not be any financial impact due to the temporary shutdown of the Company's Bilaspur Unit as there is sufficient inventory to service the orders in hand.08-05-2017

Jagatsinghpur, Orissa has been TEMPORARILY shut down for regular maintenance work from April 25, 2017. There would not be any financial impact due to the temporary shutdown of the Company's Paradeep Unit on account of sufficient inventory of finished material.27-04-2017

Goa Carbon hits new high after results
The petroleum coke manufacturer Goa Carbon saw its share price soar by double digits and hit a new 52 week high after the company posted March results, with positive net profits of Rs. 5.08 crore, a sharp recovery from the losses of the December quarter. The company ended FY17 with net profits of Rs. 9.1 crore, compared to Rs. 3.39 crore in losses for FY 16. The company said that its performance weakened in the December quarter because of shifts in delivery schedules for customers, and its reliance on imports for its raw materials. The latter subjected it to cost fluctuations, it said, that particularly impacted it in Q3.12-04-2017
