NCLT Mumbai approves RIL arm's resolution plan for Reliance Infratel

 The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has approved a resolution plan for Reliance Infratel submitted by a group entity of Reliance Industries, according to a regulatory filing. "... the resolution plan submitted by Infrastructure Projects - a division of Reliance Projects & Property Management Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited, for the resolution of Reliance Infratel Limited, under the corporate insolvency resolution process of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016, has been approved by the Hon'ble National Company Law Tribunal... Mumbai bench vide its Order dated December 3, 2020," RIL said in a late evening filing on Friday. Reliance Communications' telecom infrastructure arm Reliance Infratel has around 43,000 towers and 1,72,000 route kilometres of fiber. RELIANCE COMMUNICATIONS LTD. - 532712 - Intimation Regarding Approval Of Resolution Plan Of Reliance Infratel Limited (RITL), A Step Down Subsidiary Of Reliance Communications Limited ('Company'), By The Hon'Ble National Company Law Tribunal, Mumbai Bench

 This is in reference to the captioned matter and in furtherance of our disclosure letter dated March 5, 2020, whereby the approval of resolution plan by the committee of creditors ('CoC') of RITL, a step down subsidiary of the Company was intimated. Pursuant thereto, an application had been filed by the erstwhile resolution professional of RITL with the Hon'ble National Company Law Tribunal, Mumbai Bench ('NCLT') under 30(6) of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 ('Code') for the approval of the resolution plan submitted by Reliance Projects & Property Management Services Limited (earlier known as Reliance Digital Platform & Project Services Limited) through its division Infrastructure Projects in respect of RITL ('Resolution Plan'). Pursuant to the aforesaid, it is hereby informed that the Hon'ble NCLT has pronounced its order approving the Resolution Plan, on December 03, 2020 ('Approval Order').
