Axis Bank's holiday app looks to tap globe-trotting customers

NEW DELHI: In a move aimed at attracting globe-trotters, Axis Bank has come out with a mobile app that helps customise their travel plans and offers other multiple benefits, to boot. With the launch of Happy Holidays Package, a one-stop mobile service, Axis Bank said it has become the country's first bank to offer an integrated travel offering. The Happy Holidays Package leverages Big Data analytics and its integrated marketing solution to offer customised travel solutions to potential international travellers from its existing customers base, it said in a release. The automated trigger-based service offers multi-currency forex card that can be loaded with up to 16 currencies and tailor-made travel insurance plans. Besides, it will offer emergency assistance service, free international calling cards and discounts at restaurants at overseas locations. "This innovative offering is aimed at providing the Indian globe-trotter a host of privileges with a truly rewarding experience," said Rajiv Anand, Executive Director (Retail Banking), Axis Bank. Axis Bank, Anand said, strives to address customers' needs and offer them value-added services with composite smart and convenient solutions. To enhance customer experience, the bank has also added other smart features like instant fulfilment, door-step delivery and real-time status notifications, allowing the customer to monitor transactions.
