The paid up share capital of the Bank will accordingly increase from Rs. 513,22,56,082 (256,61,28,041 equity shares of Rs. 2/- each) to Rs. 513,26,03,982 (256,63,01,991 equity shares of Rs. 2/- each). You are requested to take the above on record. Revision In Interest Rates On Saving Bank Accounts
The Bank has decided to introduce a new tier of 6% per annum interest for Savings bank customers maintaining balance of Rs. 10 crores and above. Customers will continue to get 3.50% per annum for savings deposit balances of less than Rs. 50 lacs and 4% for savings deposit balances between Rs. 50 lacs and less than Rs. 10 crores. Acting on an Axis Bank's complaint, the Economic Offences Wing of Mumbai police on Friday arrested three directors of a private firm - Parekh Alluminex Ltd or PAL - for allegedly defrauding banks of Rs 4,000 crore.
