In continuation to our communication dated May 3, 2021 wherein we had intimated about the closure of our plants in the month of May 2021 due to COVID 19 pandemic, we write to inform you that our plants are still not fully operational due to lock down that is ongoing in the states where our plants are located. We expect the opening up announcements by the respective state governments in a phased manner, resulting in impact of our operations in the month of June 2021 also. You may kindly note that the demand scenario is still to pick up due to lock down. In view of the above, we expect that our plants will be operational only for 5-10 days, for the month of June 2021.01-06-2021

Ashok Leyland is committed to the wellbeing of our personnel, their families and the extended eco system, including customers, dealers and suppliers. With 'Health & Safety First' as the focus, our 'Emergency Response Team', a high level task force responsible for managing Covid related protocols has revisited all the standard operating procedures and is ensuring the implementation of the same. Vaccination of employees and families is being monitored and enabled through vaccination camps across all facilities. ............. Accordingly, the operations of our plants have been scaled down and are expected to work for 7 - 15 days in May.
