Supreme Industries misses volume target for Q3 due to demonetization, operating profits up 20%
Supreme Industries reported a 11.4% growth in revenues and a 20.19% increase in operating profit for Q3 compared to the same period last year. The company, MD MP Taparia said, "had been hopeful of achieving 15% volume growth", after healthy monsoons increased the likelihood of a strong kharif crop, leading to high rural demand. However demonetization tamped down on the rural sector considerably, and the company managed only 6% volume growth YoY. Projections for Q4 stand anywhere between 8-10% expansion in volumes.25-01-2017
