Pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations 2015, this is to inform you that in view of the outbreak of the COVID19 in India and in view of the lock down announced by the Government of India, all the manufacturing and other operations of the company's subsidiary namely "Ardent Steels Limited" situated in the State of Odisha have been closed temporarily from today as a precautionary measure to prevent spread of the Corona Virus. The operations shall be resumed once the situation is improved and lockdown is withdrawn. The closure of manufacturing operations shall have impact on the consolidated revenues & profitability of the Company, which can't be quantified at this stage. This is in continuation to our earlier announcement dated 18.01.2020 vide which we have informed that the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board has granted its consent to the Company, to operate the Rolling Mill with a capacity of 4,00,000 Tonnes Per Annum and Iron Ore Beneficiation Plant with capacity of 10,00,000 tons per annum under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution ) Act 1981. Further to above, we now would like to inform you that the Company has commenced commercial production at the aforesaid Rolling Mill and Iron Ore Beneficiation Plant with effect from today. Pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations 2015, this is to inform you that the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India has accorded its Environmental Clearance to M/s Ardent Steel Limited (A Subsidiary our Company) for enhancement of production capacity of existing Iron Ore Pelletisation Plant from 6,00,000 TPA to 6,90,000 TPA through Process Optimization without any further Capital Expenditure for the same. The approval will enable the Company to increase the production of Iron Ore Pellet by 15% up-to 6,90,000 TPA.
