A fire broke in the turbine of Power Plant of Ankit Metal & Power Limited on 20th March, 2018 at around 7.00 am. The fire was extinguished with the help of Fire Brigade. The detailed estimation of losses is being worked out. Further to our letter dated 7th March, 2018, we are pleased to inform you that NCLT Kolkata Bench has confirmed the closure of entire proceedings in the case of Gandhar Oil Refinery (India) Ltd V/s Ankit Metal & Power Limited, in view of the order dated 5th March, 2018, passed by Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. This is further to our letter dated 20th February, 2018, the Company had filed a Special Leave Petition with Hon'ble Supreme Court of India for appropriate Orders in view of the settlement arrived at between the Company and Gandhar Oil Refinery (India) Limited. The Special Leave Petition has since been disposed off by Hon'ble Supreme Court vide their order dated 5th March, 2018. From the website of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), it is learned that a case filed by M/s. Gandhar Oil Refinery (India) Limited against the company, under section 9 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), 2016, has been admitted by National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Kolkata Bench.
