this is to inform that, at the Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EOGM) of the Megapacific Ventures Private Limited, Wholly Owned Subsidiary (WOS) of Megastar Foods Limited, held on Monday, 23rd November, 2020, the Members approved the sale of Capital Assets of the company that majorly comprise of Land and Building under construction located at Hansa Industrial Park, Derabassi- Barwala Road, Village Rampur Sainian, Teh.: Derabassi, Distt.: SAS Nagar, Punjab- 140507. The aforesaid assets are being disposed off in view of the decision of the Board of Directors to shelve the proposed project by the wholly owned subsidiary company, which was in the initial stages of its implementation. The aforesaid assets are expected to realise an amount of Rs. 2.93 Crores (approx.) against the spent sum of Rs 2.88 Crores by the company.24-11-2020

With reference to the above mentioned subject, we wish inform that pursuant to the order received now, of Hon'ble High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh vide order dated 25.02.020 in the company's CWP No. 8693 of 2018 (O&M;), in the matter of refund of the excess Value Added Tax collected by Food Corporation of India and deposited with State Government of Punjab, the company has received a refund of Rs. 96,42,647 (Rupees Ninety Six lakh Forty Two Thousand Six Hundred Forty Seven Only) against the disputed amount of Rs. 1,07,00,000 (Rupees One Crore Seven Lakh) (approximate figures).
