With reference to the news item appearing in a leading web portal titled "Shanthi Gears rallies on reports of Suzlon Energy eyeing majority stake in the co & may trigger an open offer", Shanthi Gears Ltd has clarified to BSE that the Company has neither taken any decision nor entered into any agreement with Suzlon Energy for the issuance of any shares in the Company to Suzlon Energy.
