Deal rumors surround Sadbhav, as promoter ramped up stake on 25 Feb
Construction company Sadbhav Engineering didn't make the headlines all of last month, but rumors have abounded about numerous suitors including Cube Highways getting close to purchasing the company's SIPL road projects (which Trendlyne wrote about on 18 Feb). Then a major share acquisition transaction was reported on 25 Feb by the company promoter. This ramps up the promoter's stake from 12.86% of total shares to 27.85% - a jump of 14.99%. And today, Sadbhav Engineering is one of the top gainers in share price, rising 8.8%. HDFC Institutional Research has been among the brokers giving the company an aggressive price target of Rs. 400+ in light of a potential deal. The company is in discussions to sell 12 of its subsidiary SIPL's road projects, which would raise funds to shift to a more asset-light EPC model and fund construction of ongoing commitments.28-02-2019
